Originally known as the Baulkham Hills Cricket Club the history of the Baulkham Hills Sports Club can be traced back as far as 1918 and the end of World War I, which saw it stand as one of the oldest junior cricket clubs in New South Wales.
In 1961, long before the Club we know now was established, a group of approximately 22 individuals met at the Baulkham Hills School of Arts to discuss an idea to develop a club that focused on financially supporting junior sport in the Hills area.
By 1968 a number of sporting groups including soccer and netball joined and a steering committee was appointed to develop an incorporated club which became known as the Baulkham Hills Sports Club Limited.
Baulkham Hills Sports Club (BHSC) Limited officially opened its doors to the Hills community on the 31st March 1974 with 498 members and a common dining room able to seat 26 people.
Since it's modest beginning, the Club has evolved into a community focused organisation and popular venue for the local community.
In 1998, Baulkham Hills Sports Club was amalgamated with Bankstown Sports Club to assist in rebuilding the tradition of a community facility after the Club was placed into receivership. As support of local community and sporting clubs was the core focus of Bankstown Sports, it allowed Baulkham Hills Sports to continue with that vision back in 1961.
Since 1961 Baulkham Hills Sports Club has remained a community focused venue designed to foster and develop young sports players and provide support for the growing Hills Shire community. The club is a social meeting point for many, young and old, and this tradition will only continue.
